Machining unit with 5-axis technology
The Everest engine has the advanced 5-axis milling and grinding technology. With its extremely compact design, specially developed for the dental laboratory, the Everest engine is a minor revolution in power. Long traverse paths with wide working angles smooth the path to easy complete machining of even the most demanding geometrical designs with convoluted bottom sections.
This high-tech engine, which has a dual tool spindle, a swivelling gripping yoke and is simultaneously controlled by high-output CNC software, has a wide range of applications and offers maximum productivity and quality.
The five X, Y, Z, A and B axes offer particularly high ranges and wide angles of motion for maximum possible variety and precision for your machining processes:

Perfectly shaped and functional occlusal surfaces are the most important factor for an attractive and useful dental prosthesis. The professional shaping and fabrication of the occlusal surface is one of the most important tasks of the dental technician. This task is made easy to the smallest detail with the KaVo Everest® engine with its 5-axis technology.
How easy it is to achieve excellent results
Maximum precision with practically no refinement of the milling
Overnight production with restorations up to a full jaw from an economical circular blank with retention bars
Sintering - safely to the perfect result
The microprocessor-controlled therm unit offers sintering of modern dental materials.
It is a safe, controlled and automatic process — without supervision.
The scan unit is linked to the overall Everest system with the data interfaces on the scanning computer. In addition, remote data transmission is possible through a separate telephone or Internet connection.
If needed, KaVo’ remote online maintenance service be directly accessed in this manner.
Total perfection
The KaVo Everest CAD/CAM is an outstanding example of holistic design in dental laboratory technology. The four Everest components together make up a complete system providing an optimum solution for the demands of contemporary processing technology. It combines advanced technology with maximum economy and quality.
The Everest scan unit forms the first interface for highly-efficient and easy dental processing directly on the computer:
The three-dimensional surface scan in the Everest scan unit determines the models measurements, which are visualised for further processing in 3D on the screen. Complex crowns and bridges can be easily generated.
Critical areas such as the crown margin are automatically recognised by the software and calculated.
KaVo Scan II
The KaVo Scan II provides highly accurate Scans and its Software offers easy to use multiple design possibilities. It offers a reasonably priced alternative to enter the dental Scan- and CAD world.
The restorations constructed with the Scan II can be sent through an interface to the established 5-axis Everest System to be milled.
The KaVo Scan II uses the stripe light-projection to capture even smallest fissures and complex geometries. One other benefit the Scan II offers is the rescanning of hard to reach areas and detailed mashmerging with the original Scan information.
Intuitive, fast, affordable – KaVo Scan II!
The Energy CAD Software offers numerous possibilities to construct restorations. It is possible to produce multiple indications like Copings, Inlay/Onlay/Veneers, wax-ups, as well as abutments and full crowns.
3Shape D700 Model Scan
The innovative and on the market established scan-technology of 3Shape can now be combined with the unique KaVo Everest CAD/CAM system!
The D700 scanner represents the new generation of scan technology and has been optimized for model and impression scanning (additional option). It guarantees best scanning results and sets standards regarding scanning velocity and accuracy. Furthermore the 3Shape Scanner for KaVo Everest offers application possibilities that allow an improvement in clinical results and higher profitability.
The precise scanning results and the various construction possibilities of the 3Shape Scanner can be realized in its best way with the 5 axis Everest system.
The 3Shape for KaVo Everest scanning features as well as the numerous software functionalities are convincing and offer a lot of highlights.
The software Dental Designer 2009 of the 3Shape Scanner for KaVo offers multiple opportunities in constructing dental restaurations. Hereby it is possible to cover indications like copings, I-O-V and telescopical crowns.
Based on dental anatomy, these functions offer extensive indications to create highly esthetic and functional restorations.
From the impression to a digital model!
The 3Shape Scanner for KaVo Everest optionally offers an impression scan function that allows direct digitalization of impressions!
Right after scan process of the impression the CAD-Design can be started, which guarantees a reduction of turnaround time and parallel manufacturing of model, coping and crown.
In this case the Scanner first generates “negative” data which then will be converted into a precise, virtual model.
Highlights

Original to digital in 1:1 quality
In the scan unit the geometry of the plaster cast is recorded first. The cast is simply placed on the removable object holder and this is then fixed to the rotary plate of the scanner with a simple operation.
The operator can control the scan process easily with the Everest software scan module and the scan process, including data storage, is finished in less than four minutes.
In this brief period a CCD camera scans all 3-D contours at a ratio of 1:1 and the data are converted to digital data.
The measuring plate rotates and tilts during the scanning process to record all aspects of the most complex shapes and all critical regions.
The measurement precision of 20 μm defines the initial basis for the absolute 1:1 precision that is the characteristic of the total machining process with KaVo Everest.
