Brilliance with glass ceramic: IPS e.max. CAD
Outstanding dental technology incontemporary appearance
IPS e.max CAD for KaVo Everest combines modern machining technology with a high-performance material: innovative lithium disilicate glass ceramic.
This ceramic is machined in an intermediate crystalline state in which the material shows its characteristic bluish shade. In this „soft“ phase (160 MPa) the grinding process, manual shaping and also cut-back is quick and efficient and the fit can be tested on the model.
This is followed by a simple, quick crystallisati-on process (30 min) in a conventional ceramic oven, in which the IPS e.max CAD reaches its final strength of 360 MPa and the desired aesthetic properties such as tooth colour, translucence and brightness.
Blocks with greater or less translucency are machined depending on the case and the machining technique. The IPS e.max CAD MO (Medium Opacity) blocks are indicated for fabrication of frameworks because of their slightly greater opacity. They are available in five shades.
The IPS e.max CAD LT (Low Translucency) blocks are ideal for effi cient fabrication of fully anatomical crowns and the cut-back technique. They are available in the nine most common A–D plus four bleach shades.

Maximum aesthetics demands withoutsacrifi cing strength
Fabricate highly aesthetic single-tooth crowns effi ciently with IPS e.max CAD that can be cemented-in conventionally. Because of their high strength IPS e.max CAD restorations can be shaded with IPS e.max Ceram layering ceramic or frameworks can be fully veneered to maximise aesthetics.
The nano-fluor-apatite layering ceramic with the outstanding optical characteristics is also ideal for veneering frameworks of EverestZS/ZH and frameworks that have beenpreviously pressed with IPS e.max ZirPress.
The comprehensive layering design and the accurate shade matching - regardless of the framework material - offer more flexibility and simplify fabrication for complex cases.
