Servicing and care of KaVo Everest systems
We repeatedly receive questions about the required servicing and care of KaVo Everest systems. Below is a summary of the most important tasks.
Daily
- Each time before you use the unit, make sure that the gripping yoke inserts and workpiece spaces on the gripping yokes are clean and coated in a thin film of oil.
- Empty the chips drawer and clean it.
- Check the fill level of the cooling lubricant at the cooling lubricant unit. The coolant lubricant level must be between the minimum and maximum marks.
Weekly
- Vacuum the interior of the milling/grinding unit at least once per week (more frequently if used often) or clean it with the brush
- The interior of the milling/grinding unit should be automatically cleaned at least once per week
- Wipe the exterior housing and window with a dry, lint-free cloth, or remove impurities with a moist cloth and clear water or soapy water
- Check the nitrate level, water hardness, pH and concentration of the cooling lubricate, and change if necessary (for instructions, see also the combination and base test)
Quarterly
- Double spindle: Replace the setscrews Mat. no. 0.249.6602 for fastening the milling and grinding tools.
- Gripping yokes Gripping yokes: Replace setscrews Mat. No. 1.001.5891 for affixing the insert
- Cooling lubricant unit: Change the aerosol exhaust filter Mat. No. 1002.0534.
- Cooling lubricant unit: Check the level of the wet filter bag Mat. No. 1.002.8352 and replace if necessary. You can independently perform the above service tasks. In addition, a KaVo-trained service technician should perform servicing once a year.
